Since 1996, Kwanzaa has been celebrated in the U.S. during the December holiday season. Sydney Lewis, a fellow UU from our neighboring Lower Bucks County Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, will help us better understand the context in which Kwanzaa was established, its purposes, its Seven Principles (Nguzo Saba), its connection to similar celebrations, and how it’s typically observed. She will also share personal experiences celebrating the holiday.
